Super robustes Radio mit super klang und nützlichen Funktionen
Rundum ein super Radio für die Baustelle aber auch für zu Hause im Garten.

War ein Geburtstagsgeschenk. Mein Freund ist extrem zufrieden damit, würde ihn nicht mehr hergeben. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt. Einfache Bedienung. Würde diesen Radio sofort wieder kaufen.

Another fine radio from roberts
This small, versatile and durable radio is handy for listening outdoors (garden, beach, park etc. pp.) or on a journey in a hotel room - no alarm function though, but everyones got a smartphone, eh 🙂 The reception on FM and DAB+ is outstanding. Except from the fiddle presets 5-10 it is very easy to operate. The sound for its size is very good in my ears. I would have liked rotary dials for volume and tuning, but on the other hand, like it is now the design is very clear. The display is razor-sharp, dimmable and can be turned off completly. The best thing is: you can recharge batteries (NiMh AA) inside the radio. No external device needed. When the batteries wear out after some time - you can replace them by new ones. This is a lot better as an built in Li-Ion accumulator, which mostly can not be replaced or only by qualified personnel. Operational time on batteries is very good - something between 20 and 30 hours - havent stopped the time yet! The bluetooth function (aac) is quite nice, but in the end, this is a RADIO and not a JBL/Anker flip out of the box bluetooth speaker. This one runs on 4 AA-Batteries - keep that in mind! Price: Well, as I said, in the end this is a small portable radio and for the price of 85 GBP / 100 EUR this quite expensive for what it is, but the product is very well-thought-out and durable. In my opinion it is worth it. If you do not set the value on the ROBERTS brand name, there is an almost identical product by sangean (Traveller 760 / DPR 76) without bluetooth, which you may get a little cheaper.
Best little radio on the market
This little radio was a life saver for my husband whilst he was in hospital. It tunes itself in with one touch of a button, lots of stations (some I didn't even know existed) the sound quality is crisp & clear, the led face is easy to read. Very easy to use and its rubberised edges makes it indestructible.We purchased rechargeable batteries so it's portable during the day & charge at nighttime by the power cable. Overall a fab little radio.
Small radio with great sound.
I'm somewhat hard of hearing and have always had to fit my hearing aid to clearly hear my old portable radios, even with the sound at maximum, plus the rechargeable batteries didn't last very long. This little radio gives a brilliant sound quality that I can hear reasonably well without the hearing aid. The batteries are lasting much longer - there is also little indicators showing the level of remaining charge. I only use the DAB stations and all are showing full strength. There are only 10 pre-sets for DAB and 10 for FM. Of the available pre-sets four are available on the buttons on the front of the radio and the remaining six can be found by pressing the Preset button. Once you've looked at the little manual you'll see that all the buttons give easily understood options. The radio is covered around the edge with a silicone type covering, which not only protects the radio but feels nice to the touch when holding it. The screen is gives nice clear information and the Info button allows you to scroll through six different screens. This is the best radio I've bought with the best sound. I would easily recommend this radio to anyone who wants a small radio with clear sound.

A good modern day portable radio
Surprised how light it is, but the sound is pretty good. Very natural speech. Simple controls, and quickly set up within a couple of minutes. Very pleased, which is why I'm writing this review so soon. And while we all have a 101 computers, phones, other devices that could stream "radio" - it's really nice and convenient to have one smallish box that just does radio without having to boot up, navigate menus, start up apps and have to stop doing what you wanted to use that device in the first place. This Sony's a pretty safe well priced choice.
Good sound quality at reduced price
Good sound quality, clear and deep on BBC Radios 3 and 4. Excellent value for money at the reduced price of £69 in the UK at the moment. The volume is more than enough for my dining room but I don't think it would produce enough for a large space, but at £69 I don't think you would get anything better. I look forward to DAB+ in the UK as I suspect this radio has yet more quality to reveal , it is excellent on FM maybe better than DAB actually. I suggest buying this radio whilst the price is low. Update on 20th May 2019: Very pleased to discover that the headphone output is 'proper' stereo (as opposed to same sound in both ears), and very high quality with good over ear headphones, not what I bought it for and not expected of a mono radio, but a great bonus. I don't think Sony makes enough of this feature in its blurb.

I really like this - which is good as it wasn't cheap. i found set up and use to be entirely intuitive - not so for my last 3 digital radios each of which was quite fiddly to tune, set and use presets and so on - all easy here. It has 5 presets for each band (FM or DAB) - I like the ease of switching between my favourite stations without having to go alphabetically through a list or fiddle a tuning dial. It shows the time whether the radio is on or off (strangely, my other three suspend the clock function when the radio is on). I'm not sure why the volume control is such a big dial, but it doesn't matter. Sound quality is good and volume goes quite high. You need to remove the AC input to use on batteries, but I haven't used it in this mode more than a few times so I can't comment on battery life. Still it takes 4 standard AA batteries whereas some models use 6 or more of different sizes, so replacement will be cheaper than many (one actually uses 10!). Simple and effective model.
